Editor's Verdict: Gameznflix is the most unique entry in our video game rental category. The reason for this being, as the name suggests, that they allow you to rent both games and movies from one place. Now, we're going to dedicate a whole paragraph shortly to raving about what a great concept that is, but it's obviously only any use if the actual service you are paying for is up to scratch. So does Gameznflix deliver on quality or does it try to hide behind the, rather impressive, fact that it will rent you films and dvds? Thankfully, the answer is yes. When dealing with an online rental company it's important to know that you are going to get good service from them because otherwise you aren't going to get the maximum number of games for your dollars. Gameznflix doesn't disappoint on this, promising to deliver your titles in 1-4 days - some of their distribution centres even keep going on Saturdays to make sure of it. The service works as you would expect. You create a list of the movies and games that you want. Then, as you send titles back they will send you out the next available one on your list. This is pretty standard for an online rental company, but Gameznflix does its best to ensure you get as many titles as you can for your money. Also, while we are on the subject of money, it's probably time to mention that Gameznflix prices are some of the lowest around. The basic package comes in at only $8.99. You could pay more than that for a drink in some bars! For this you get to have one title at home at a time, which is going to give you much more entertainment per dollar value than a glass of beer. The choice of titles available from Gameznflix puts some of the other competitors in this category to shame. They claim to have more than 40,000 titles to choose from to fill up the empty disc tray in your console or DVD player. What percentage of these are games and what are movies we aren't sure about, but given that they stock titles for 6 different consoles there must be quite a few games in there. We challenged ourselves to come up with as many games as we could off the top of our heads and only reached about 300 so there's plenty of scope for discovery! The main selling point of Gameznflix is to be found in their name: they rent games AND movies! Not only on DVD either, they also have HD-DVD and Blu-Ray for those of you up to date with your entertainment equipment. The possibilities of this feature are endless. Most of us will be in one of the following three situations - Guy With Girlfriend Who Will Moan About Spending Money On Renting Games, Kid With Parents Who Will Moan About Spending Money On Renting Games or Guy/Girl With A Bank Balance Which Will Moan About Spending Money On Renting Games. Well worry not if this is you because now you have the perfect excuse for signing up. If you go for the 2-out-at-once option you can please your girlfriend/parents with a movie while you hide in the darkness playing games, or if the bank balance is your trouble, find a movie lover who wants to take the movies while you play the games. Gameznflix deserves of the number two place in our rankings due to its wide selection of titles, excellent customer service and novel idea of renting games and movies. By taking this one little step it will help solve some of the problems we gamers experience when deciding whether to sign up to a game rental service. For this, we should salute them.
